My function is to analyze, design, implement, test, evaluate and maintain data network, and voice communications systems. Perform data network and voice communication modeling, analysis, and planning. Research and recommend data network and voice communications hardware and software. Include telecommunications networking and interfacing of computer and communications equipment, most important Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Develop, create, modify and/or configure general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze users need and develop software solutions. Design software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. May analyze and design databases within an application area, or coordinating database development.
